City Center Partnership Announces the Major Sponsors and Entertainment Line-Up for the 2009 Urban Tour

COLUMBIA, SC – April 10 , 2009 – City Center Partnership invites you to attend the 2nd annual Urban Tour on Thursday, May 7 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. along Main Street in downtown Columbia. The Urban Tour is a chance to explore and enjoy a self-guided tour of Columbia’s Main Street with special offers and giveaways from retailers and restaurants, live entertainment, a glimpse into downtown living, FREE food and drinks and stories behind some of the historic buildings. The Historic Columbia Foundation will unveil its Main Street Walking Tour Brochure at the event. The Columbia Museum of Art will be open from 5 to 8:30, and will be offering a Pay-What-You-Wish admission to Turner to Cézanne: Masterpieces from the Davies Collection, National Museum Wales, sponsored by Family Medicine Centers of South Carolina during the Urban Tour.
The tour runs between Gervais and Laurel Streets. The tour can be started anywhere down Main Street. There is a wrap-up party at the Nickelodeon Theatre at 8:15 p.m., where door prizes will be awarded.
