City of Greenville Recycling Event
April 20 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
This spring, the City of Greenville is hosting two events designed to encourage residents to incorporate sustainability into their lifestyle while making it easy, convenient and fun.
The City will partner with new vendor Shred-A-Way for its spring Shredding & E-Waste Recycling Day on Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Public Works campus. At this free event, citizens can dispose of unwanted electronics and have their sensitive documents destroyed and recycled in a secure manner. All paper to be shredded MUST be bagged or boxed, and each person is limited to three large trash bags or three small boxes of paper. Bags and boxes must be intact, with no rips or tears. Reusable bags, boxes or containers will be returned to you.
City residents and businesses can also drop off the following items for free during this special event: TVs, computer monitors, keyboards, mice, wires, circuit boards, CPUs, scanners and printers. There is a limit of 10 electronic items per person. Durable compost bins will be available for purchase at the event while supplies last.
