Forensic Science Saturday

The State Museum is inviting all junior detectives to a special day all about forensic science and crime solving, plus the opportunity to save on kids admission to The International Exhibition of Sherlock Holmes, with a Jr. Detective Pass.
Forensic Science Saturday includes:
  • Junior Detective Pass: Kids (3-12) general admission + Sherlock blockbuster kids admission + Sherlock 4D movie ticket = $18.95 – NOW ONLY $10!
  • Meet and take photos with the McGruff the Crime Dog from the City of Columbia Police Department.
  • Kidprint finger printing program with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. This program provides parents with a copy of their child’s fingerprints, and statistical information about their child for use in an emergency.
  • City of Columbia Fire Department will teach guests about fire prevention, how they fight fires and how they investigate fires with a fire truck demonstration from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Meet officers from the City of Columbia Police Department and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
  • Hands-on fun including making DNA models and assembling a cipher wheel.
