SUMMARY:Swedish Midsummer Festival returns to Cypress Gardens
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Volvo Cars on Saturday\, June 13\n\nThe Annual Swedish Midsummer Festival\, hosted by Volvo Cars\, returns to Cypress Gardens this year on Saturday\, June 13. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the park\, located at 3030 Cypress Gardens Road in Moncks Corner. This is a rain or shine event. \nMidsummer (or “Midsommar” in Swedish) is a Swedish holiday marking the summer solstice\, the longest day of the year\, and is held in June. A beloved tradition in Scandinavia\, the festival is a celebration of the ushering in of light after the long\, dark winter. \nExperience Swedish culture while exploring the park’s beautiful gardens. The festival will feature a traditional Swedish maypole\, flower crowns\, food trucks\, kids’ activities\, a DJ\, and more. The first 100 visitors will receive a free flower crown. \nThe Swedish Midsummer Festival also correlates with Free Saturday for Berkeley County residents. The park will be open for Free Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last admission is 4 p.m.). Proof of residency with photo ID\, utility\, or tax bill is required for free admission. \nAbout Volvo Cars \nIn 2015\, Volvo Cars announced its first US manufacturing facility in Berkeley County\, South Carolina which became operational in June 2018. Located on 1\,600 acres\, the facility has 2.3 million square feet of building space and the capacity to produce up to 150\,000 cars per year. The plant has approximately 2\,000 employees and currently assembles the fully electric EX90\, a fully-electric SUV\, and manufactures the Polestar 3. By the end of 2026\, Volvo Cars will add its best-selling XC60 mid-size SUV to the Ridgeville production facility.

DESCRIPTION:A long-standing Clinton tradition is getting new life this spring through a community collaboration. CrossFit864 and Musgrove Market have teamed up to launch Shop the Lots\, a multi-location shopping event set for Saturday\, May 30\, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Pitts Street in Clinton. \nThe event grew organically out of two separate ideas coming together. CrossFit864 owner Janice Long has been hosting yard sales at her location since 2009\, a tradition that became a staple for Clinton shoppers over the years. When Musgrove Market was planning its own Shop the Lot event for the same day\, the two business owners saw an opportunity. \n“We used to do it twice a year\, spring and fall\,” Long said. “Teaming up just makes sense and gives shoppers even more reason to come out.” \nSusan Tallman\, co-owner of Musgrove Market\, agreed that the partnership was a natural fit. “Janice was already planning her yard sale and we were planning our own event\, so collaborating was just good business sense\,” Tallman said. “Everyone loves the thrill of finding a hidden treasure or a great find\, and Shop the Lots gives shoppers two locations right here in Clinton to do just that. We think this is the beginning of something really special for our community.” \nThe event will feature antiques\, crafts\, food\, and drinks across both locations. Musgrove Market is located at 202 Musgrove Street\, and CrossFit864 is on Pitts Street in Clinton. Shoppers are encouraged to visit both lots for the full experience. \nThe event is open to all.
