Hardcover books will sell for $2 each\, while most paperbacks will cost $1 or 50 cents. A private presale for Friends of the Beaufort Library members will take place Friday\, Nov. 6. SUMMARY:4th Annual Fort Fremont Harvest Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Fort Fremont will host the 4th Annual Fort Fremont Harvest Festival on Sunday\, Nov. 8\, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Fort Fremont Preserve on St. Helena Island. The free\, family-friendly event will transport visitors back to 1898 with an afternoon of period games for children and adults\, live music\, food\, crafts\, nature exhibits\, history displays and other activities. \nA highlight of this year’s festival will be a special appearance by President Theodore Roosevelt\, who will lead children in a charge up San Juan Hill. The reenactment will bring to life the famous battle of the Spanish-American War\, where Roosevelt gained national recognition for leading the Rough Riders. \nFood and craft vendors will offer items for purchase. This year’s food vendors include Beedo’s and Gullah Grub. \nFree shuttle service will be available from Land’s End Woodlands Road\, approximately one mile from the preserve. The entrance to Fort Fremont is located at 1124 State Road S-7-45 off Lands End Road on Saint Helena Island in Beaufort County\, SC \nThe Fort Fremont Preserve is located at 1124 Land’s End Road on St. Helena Island. Admission to the Harvest Festival is free\, and visitors of all ages are welcome.

The 25th annivesary tour is organized by St. Peter’s Catholic Church\, and the homes featured on the tour will be professionally decorated for the holidays by local interior designers and talented artists. Proceeds benefit Saint Peter’s Catholic School. \nFriday Candlelight Tour\, Nov 20\, 5:00 p.m. ‑ 7:30 p.m.\nSaturday\, Nov 21\, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.\nSunday\, Nov 22\, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. \nTICKET INFORMATION\nCandlelight Tour Tickets: $115\n(Fees included. Online purchases only. Limited tickets available)\nSaturday/Sunday Tickets: $65 in advance\n$70 day of the tour (Fees included) \nTickets may be purchased online at www.beauforthomesfortheholidays.com and at area businesses (cash or check only) starting in October: Sweet Bay\, Sassafras on Carteret\, The Kitchen\, Dataw Island Pro Shop\, Celadon Club\, Markel’s (Bluffton)\, and Saint Peter’s Catholic Church office. \nThe tour is not open to children under 10\, and no pets are allowed.
