DESCRIPTION:About the event\nDid you know that opossums are the only marsupial in North America and that they are excellent at keeping tick and cockroach populations in check? They truly are a delight! Come and learn all about these often misunderstood animals from Naomi Searle\, an opossum rehabilitator\, and our own Preserve staff. You will get to meet Naomi’s pet Opossum in real life as well! Popsicles will be provided for everyone! \nWHO \nAll ages are welcome! \nWHERE \n601 Fork Shoals Rd. This is the Henderson Meadow Entrance. We will meet at the Shortleaf Shelter. \nWHEN\nJun 27\, 2026\, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM\nPlease plan to arrive by 9:45am as there is a short walk to the shelter and we want to begin promptly at 10:00am. \nWEATHER \nIf the weather is not cooperative\, we will communicate by e-mail should we need to cancel. \nCANCELLATION POLICY \nCancellations must be made 3 days prior to the event for a full refund. We require a minimum of 6 registrants to proceed with a program. If that minimum is not met then we will issue full refunds to everyone. \nOnce you place your order\, you will receive email an email from Conestee Nature Preserve <notifications@wixevents.com> including your ticket(s).
