There is truly something for everyone on your holiday list\, but the fun doesn’t stop there! Strolling Victorian Musicians\, Tea Leaf Readers\, Punch & Judy Shows\, Shadow Box Displays\, a Life-Sized Historic Santa through the Ages Exhibit\, and a real live Santa\, each lend their own charm to the show. Adding to the experience are the elaborate Festival displays of Trees\, Tables\, Wreaths\, Worlds\, and Stockings. DESCRIPTION:The Black Food Truck Festival is back this fall celebrating Black businesses and culture with food\, music and family friendly activities and entertainment. Tickets are on sale now for the two-day festival on Nov. 19-20 at the Exchange Park Fairgrounds in Ladson. \nThe springtime festival drew 15\,000 people from all around the Carolinas. It generated more than $1 million for Black-owned businesses in the Charleston region. (View the full economic impact report at www.blackfoodtruckfestival.com.) \nIn addition to highlighting the region’s food truck cuisine\, the semi-annual Black Food Truck Festival has a greater mission of making an economic and social impact on the community by showcasing and investing in Black-owned businesses. \nFestival founder Marcus Hammond said food truck participants at the spring festival reported their biggest day of sales to date. “We helped them generate awareness and future business. That’s what this festival is all about. Yes\, we’re having a fun event\, but we’re also elevating our local businesses and our community.” \nFood trucks returning this year’s festival are:\n-Peace of Soul\n-Mr. B’s\n-Keoni’s\n-Nothin’ But Chicken \nFood trucks making their debut at the festival are:\n-Fab Sliders\n-Mother Smokin’ Good\n-Xperience Kulture\n-Heavenly Cheesecake \nThe entertainment lineup for Saturday includes The Greg Loney Experience\, Trap Jazz All Stars\, and Red Sample Band. DESCRIPTION:Firefly Distillery\, Charleston’s most visited distillery\, is celebrating its bestselling Bend & Steal American Whiskey during a Black Friday event from 12 – 6 p.m. on Friday\, November 25. The event will debut a new\, elevated label for Bend & Steal\, and will feature drink specials and discounts on Bend & Steal holiday gift sets and merchandise. \nThe Black Friday event will feature one-day-only discounts on Bend & Steal holiday gift sets\, specialty engraved box\, and merchandise perfect for the hard-to-buy-for whiskey lover. From the tasting room\, Firefly will introduce a new premium cocktail called Thor’s Hammer\, mixing the Bend & Steal blended whiskey with Firefly’s White Lightning Moonshine and Atomic Fly cinnamon syrup. Local food trucks Mr. B’s On The Go\, Bits-N-Bytes\, and Bits-N-Bites Bakery will be onsite serving food from 12 – 4 p.m. and visitors can enjoy tunes from Gritty Flyright on the Front Porch from 1 – 4 p.m. Walk up tastings will be available every half hour from 12 – 5:30 pm. \nAs a distillery exclusive product\, Bend & Steal has grown in popularity since its initial release in early 2021. The whiskey gets its unique name from the process of “stealing” bits from the best barrels in the country and “bending” them with Firefly barrels to create a perfectly-balanced whiskey. A tribute to the art of distilling\, aging and perfecting whiskey\, each design element of the new bottle label highlights the process and tools that bring this spirit to life. From the metallic copper barrel to the lock\, whiskey thief and still\, the contemporary label design is eye-catching. \nAs always at Firefly\, guests are welcome to bring chairs\, blankets\, and pop-up tables to spread out on Firefly’s four-acre field. The Distillery offers games onsite including disc golf and cornhole for all to enjoy and dogs are welcome outside while on leash. Firefly Distillery is located at 4201 Spruill Avenue and is currently open Monday through Saturday from 12 – 6 p.m. offering tastings and cocktails with live music and food trucks on Saturdays.
