At this family-friendly event\, attendees can expect a meaningful and immersive experience that highlights the enduring legacy of America’s fight for independence. \nOn April 19\, 1775\, colonial militia stood their ground against British forces in Massachusetts\, igniting the American Revolution. This pivotal moment became known as the “Shot Heard Round the World\,” a phrase immortalized by Ralph Waldo Emerson. To honor this legacy\, Lexington County was officially named in 1785\, replacing the name Saxe Gotha\, and forever linking South Carolina to this pivotal historical event.
