SUMMARY:No Detail too Small: Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:In No Detail Too Small\, Jordan Winiski and KC Christmas explore the intricacies of life. Jordan Winiski transforms overlooked flora into intricate ceramic dioramas to magnify the dichotomy between what is valued or destroyed. KC Christmas’s flora collages serve as a reminder to pause and reflect. \nBy capturing florals in their bloom\, the progress of time is paused in order to observe a moment before it is gone.

SUMMARY:it's all around us
DESCRIPTION:It’s all around us is a group exhibition featuring artists Heather Brand\, Alan Shuptrine\, and Dawn Stetzel with works examining natural & synthetic elements of our surroundings. Through photography\, sculptures\, and paintings\, the artists explore the delicate manner in how man-made materials and structures can affect our relationship with the natural world. Objects\, structures\, and places which are not found naturally but are created and synonymous with humanity’s connection with nature question the desire of an ideal natural world versus balancing ways to respond to and maintain our environment.

SUMMARY:AALS Legacy Gala 2023
DESCRIPTION:This February 3\, 2023 United Way of the Piedmont’s African American Leadership Society (AALS) is hosting its first ever Legacy Gala. This evening will be a showstopper\, with dinner\, dancing\, live music\, and a small business showcase. \nStarting at 6:30 PM at USC Upstate’s campus in Spartanburg\, the Legacy Gala is a night to celebrate philanthropy and the work of AALS. AALS is a Donor Network of United Way of the Piedmont that works to increase awareness of United Way’s work and raise money to support their priority projects. \nThis year’s proceeds will benefit United Way of the Piedmont’s housing and homelessness initiatives. For many families\, one unexpected expense or one missed income check can totally disrupt a budget. When meeting basic needs is already a struggle\, just one major blow can force a family to choose between putting food on the table and paying rent. United Way helps families before things spiral out of control by connecting families to community resources and/or providing rental assistance. \nThe African American Leadership Society recognizes this area of concern as a top priority\, and encourages the community to come out for the Inaugural Legacy Gala to make this event a great success. All are welcome and encouraged to come prepared to party for philanthropy! \nFor tickets\, please visit: 23LegacyGala.eventbrite.com \nWhat: AALS Legacy Gala 2023\nWhen: February 3\, 2023 @ 6:30pm\nWhere: USC Upstate\, 800 University Way\, Spartanburg\, SC\, 29303\nHow: 23LegacyGala.eventbrite.com \n  \n
