AgFirst Farm Credit Bank is seeking a Lead Mortgage Loan Processor to be responsible for ensuring an outstanding level of customer service by a team of processors. Leads a team of processors to ensure mortgage loan applications are processed and completed according to established policies and procedures. This position will liaise between the Associations, underwriting, closing and direct manager. The team leader supports the direct manager in all aspects of pipeline management, customer services and sales support.
Responsibilities:
• Effectively manage the workload and monitor the pipeline to ensure we meet closing dates and exceed established service and quality levels.
• Monitors daily, weekly and monthly production reports with the direct manager on the day-to-day operations of the department, including but not limited to distributing work, reviewing pipelines and job coaching.
• Ensure adequate resources are available to cover the processing unit and facilitate all functions, including answering telephones, emails and troubleshooting problems.
• Defining and establishing schedules, setting priorities, providing support with administrative issues.
• Responsible for being a subject matter expert and providing guidance on the processing of loan applications.
• Serves as an escalation point of contact to help solve system and process issues that arise in the department.
• Carry a small pipeline, back-up loan processors and support direct manager
Requirements:
• Education and/or experience equivalent to an Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting
• 4-5 years previous experience in residential mortgage loan processing
• 1 year of management or team lead experience preferred
• Knowledge of all mortgage and consumer lending documents practices and regulations
• Proficient knowledge of RESPA, TIL and Integrated Disclosure guidelines
