Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 'Light the Night' Fundraiser Walk for Columbia, S.C.

COLUMBIA, SC – October 29, 2009 – The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will host its’ annual ‘Light the Night’ fundraiser walk for Columbia, S.C. on Thursday, October 29th. Registration is at 6p.m., the walk begins at 7p.m. and is expected to last until 9p.m. All proceeds raised will sustain patient care efforts and promote research activities in finding a cure for blood cancers.

The walk will be led by Jason J. Stacy, M.D. who is employed with the University of South Carolina, School of Medicine, department of Family & Preventative Medicine. Dr. Stacy is a survivor and corporate walk chair. Joining him is Scott and Jenni Black from Batesburg-Leesville. They are the proud parents of Jacye Black, our honored hero and survivor.

The event will take place at Columbia International University, 7435 Monticello Road, Columbia, SC 29203. The walk is approximately 2 miles, begins and ends at the Moore Fitness Center.

Directions~ take I-20 and exit at mile marker 68. Entrance to the campus is about 2 miles ahead on the left.
