SUMMARY:American Legion Post 25 Gears Up for 5th Annual Toy Run
DESCRIPTION:Community generosity fuels year-round projects\, with Christmas for kids as a top priority \nAmerican Legion Post 25 is once again rallying the community to help spread holiday cheer during its 5th Annual Toy Run on Saturday\, November 1\, 2025\, at 11:00 a.m. on Main Street in Laurens. Riders and supporters are invited to bring a new\, unwrapped toy to donate\, helping ensure that children across Laurens County have a brighter Christmas this year. \nThe Toy Run is more than just a festive event — it’s one of Post 25’s most important annual initiatives. For years\, the Post has been a driving force behind community support efforts in Laurens County\, working year-round to raise funds and lend a hand where it’s needed most. From assisting veterans and their families to supporting local schools and civic projects\, Post 25’s members dedicate countless hours to service. \nOne of their top priorities each year is their Christmas project for local children\, which provides toys and gifts to families who might otherwise go without during the holiday season. The Toy Run plays a crucial role in making that project a success\, collecting toys and donations that go directly toward bringing joy to children in the community. \nKevin Farnsworth\, Post 25 member and Toy Run organizer\, shared\, “This event is close to our hearts because it brings people together to do something meaningful for local kids. Every toy and every dollar stays right here in Laurens County to help families who need it the most. It’s amazing to see the generosity of this community year after year.” \nRiders from near and far participate in the Toy Run\, filling Main Street with the sound of engines and the spirit of giving. The event has grown steadily each year\, thanks to the generosity of participants and community members who understand the impact of Post 25’s work. \nAmerican Legion Post 25’s commitment extends far beyond the holiday season. Their year-round fundraising efforts support a range of community projects\, from sponsoring youth programs to aiding veterans in need. The Toy Run serves as a reminder of the power of collective goodwill—and how one ride can help make Christmas special for hundreds of local kids.
