DESCRIPTION:Did you know that the number one cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. \nCrossFit864 is hosting a FREE course on Saturday\, July 23 that will train those attending on how to STOP THE BLEED®. \nMinutes count when someone is severely bleeding. Someone can bleed to death in less than five minutes. STOP THE BLEED® is a course that trains individuals to respond in emergency situations and help save lives. \nThose attending the class will learn how to respond in an emergency\, how to apply tourniquets\, wound packing\, airway management and more. the class format includes a short lecture and then hands on practice of life-saving measures. \n“We hope the skills learned in the class are never needed but it’s always best to be prepared\,” said Jay Long\, owner of CrossFit864.  “We hope many in the community will come to the training.” \nThe class is suitable for all ages. The training will be held at CrossFit864\, 207 West Pitts Street in Clinton and will start at 9:15 am. There is no charge for the class but donations for training supplies are welcome. To help prepare for class size\, those wishing to attend are encouraged to email info@crossfit864.com to confirm a spot.
