SUMMARY:2022 Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration!
DESCRIPTION:Free and open to all\, the 3rd Annual Juneteenth celebration at the Peace Center’s TD Stage features live music\, children’s activities and local food. \nCo-hosted by Rhonda Rawlings and George Davis III\, this Juneteenth celebration features a full schedule of performances by some of the Upstate’s best and brightest in music and dance\, including The Jamie Wright Band\, Alphaeus Anderson & Pure-N-Heart\, Reggie Rocc\, Vaughn Newman Dance\, ZAKI West African Drum & Dance Ensemble and the legendary Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues. \nView the schedule at http://peacestaff.org/juneteenth/#schedule. \nThere will also be a community blood drive held inside the lobby of the Gunter Theatre from 2pm – 7pm during the event. The blood drive will highlight the need for blood donations that specifically help local patients battling Sickle Cell Disease.
