SUMMARY:Town of Awendaw and St. James Health & Wellness Community 5K Fun Run & Walk
DESCRIPTION:The family-friendly event welcomes the entire public to gather in Awendaw for a day centered on fitness\, preventive care\, and community engagement. The 5K course kicks off at Awendaw Town Hall (6971 Doar Rd) and concludes at the Awendaw Municipal Park (7900 Doar Rd). \nCommunity Health & Free Screenings \nAs part of its ongoing mission to expand care throughout the region\, clinical staff from St. James Health and Wellness Center will be on-site providing free preventive health services\, including blood pressure checks\, diabetes screenings and general health assessments. \nIn addition to the 5K route\, attendees can enjoy a festive\, community-wide atmosphere featuring: \n\nLocal food trucks\nA bounce house and activities for children\nMusic throughout the afternoon\nFree fresh fruits and vegetables\nDoor prizes and various item giveaways\n\nWhile community festivities and health screenings are free and open to the public\, registration fees apply for 5K race participants: \nAdults: $30 – Children (12 & Under): $20 \nParticipants can download the official registration form via the Town of Awendaw News and Events portal.
