SUMMARY:A Night to Celebrate Community
DESCRIPTION:Join South Carolina First Steps for A Night to Celebrate Community as we mark 25 years of preparing children ages 0-5 for school and life success! Set for Thursday\, March 21\, from 6-10 p.m.\, our third annual fundraiser supports children and families served by First Steps local partnerships throughout South Carolina. Come out to enjoy a memorable evening featuring live music by Emerald Empire and dancing at the Hall at Senate’s End in Columbia. All proceeds will go to early education and health programs for children ages 0-5 in every county across the state. \nThanks to the success of last year’s event\, more young children and their families accessed life-changing programs. Through the Parents as Teachers program\, 960 families across 27 counties benefited from in-home services and group support by trained parent educators. Additionally\, 473 children in some of our state’s most rural areas received weekend backpacks filled with healthy food options.
