SC Conference of Local Education Foundations

COLUMBIA, SC – November 4th – Join others interested in improving their communities through stronger schools! The SC Conference of Local Education Foundations brings together charities and businesses throughout South Carolina dedicated to increasing community support for public schools. It’s especially useful for communities thinking of starting education foundations or looking to strengthen existing foundations. The conference enables individuals to share solutions and ideas so as to build a strong network of local education foundations across South Carolina.

When: November 4, 2009

Time: 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Where: SC Department of Archives and History

The conference offers two tracks:

One for existing foundations – who have been up and going for a while, and that are looking for ways to continue growing

One for new foundations, or for communities still considering creating a foundation

This year’s conference is organized by Palmetto Horizon with extensive support from the South Carolina School Board Association, Richland School District 2, The Alliance for Quality Education in Greenville, Public Education Partners in Aiken, The School Foundation in Florence and the South Carolina Association of School Administrators.
