A fundraiser to support the July 4th fireworks

COLUMBIA, SC – February 4, 2009 – Enjoy live music from the Going Commando, purchase unique auction items and sample specialty dishes from 13 area restaurants/caterers at the 2009 Taste of Lake Murray.  The fifth annual Taste of Lake Murray, created to raise money for the 4th of July Celebration on Lake Murray, will take place Thursday, March 26, 2009, at the Radisson Hotel Columbia (2100 Bush River Road, Columbia) at 6:30pm.

“If you haven’t been before, allow me to share with you what it’s all about. This is not only the sole fundraiser for the 4th of July Fireworks on Lake Murray, but it’s much more than that! It’s great music; it’s delicious food; it’s great bargains on our live and silent auctions; it’s yummy drinks on the specialty bar- ‘Lake Murrayville’ and it’s fun with friends, over 800 of them! This is an adult friendly event and if you come once you’ll plan to return year after year! And, I’d be willing to say you will find at least one new favorite dining spot or menu item you haven’t tried at an old favorite by coming to this event,” says Amy Hoffman, Special Events Manager for Capital City/Lake Murray Country.

The adult public is invited to attend the Taste of Lake Murray. Tickets are $45 per person. (The ticket price will increase to $55 per person after Feb. 26th.)
