Red Hat is an I-T industry leader providing open source software computer services, applications and management products, as well as support, training, and consulting services. CIO Lee Congdon will deliver the keynote speech 10 a.m. Saturday, April 18, which is presented by the College of Hospitality, Retail, & Sport Management and the College of Engineering and Computing.

Open-source software (OSS) is one of the most important and relevant topics in I-T today because it presents a tremendous opportunity for small and large organizations to reduce I-T budgets while maintaining functionality, security and scalability.
Attendance to the conference is free, but seating is limited, so pre-registration is encouraged. Registration and additional information about the Palmetto Open Source Software Conference can be found at http://www.posscon.org/ or by calling Rachel Barnett, 803-777-0097.
