US Surgeon General Steven Galson and Navy Lt. Andy Baldwin to Visit SC
April 16, 2009COLUMBIA, SC – April 16, 2009 – Acting US Surgeon General Steven K. Galson, MD, MPH, will visit the Palmetto State on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, to attend Eat Smart, Move More SC’s annual Obesity Prevention Summit as part of his nationwide tour to promote the US Department of Health and Human Services’ Childhood Overweight and Obesity Prevention Initiative, Healthy Youth for a Healthy Future. Galson also serves as Acting Assistant Secretary for Health.
Rear Admiral Galson will be joined by Lt. Andy Baldwin, MD, a physician, lieutenant in the US Navy and Ironman triathlete, also known for being the bachelor on the 10th season of the hit TV reality show, “The Bachelor.”
