By 2034\, older adults aged 65 and over will outnumber children 18 and younger for the first time in history\, emphasizing the situation’s urgency. The housing affordability crisis is driven by rising housing costs\, a lack of smaller homes\, growing income inequality\, and high inflation. In Greenville County\, the situation is equally alarming. In 2018\, there were over 50\,000 residents aged 65 or older\, and this number is projected to rise to 73\,141 by 2029. Please support Beyond Housing SC in providing handicap-accessible affordable units to help alleviate housing expenses and promote the well-being of individuals’ mental and physical health.
