DESCRIPTION:The City of Georgetown and Keep Georgetown Beautiful SC are bringing back the popular Movies in the Park series on Friday\, September 11\, at the Bobby Alford Pavilion in East Bay Park. \nThe evening will feature music\, local food vendors\, family-friendly entertainment\, and an outdoor screening of the movie The GOAT (PG). \nFestivities start at 5:00 pm\, and include live music and entertainment featuring DJ Midd\, local food trucks and free popcorn for attendees. The movie starts at 7:30 pm. \nCommunity members are encouraged to gather family and friends for a night under the stars. Attendees should bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating and weather-appropriate outdoor gear. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.

DESCRIPTION:The Georgetown Historical Society is hosting its annual Cattails and Cocktails fundraiser on Saturday\, March 21 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at the Bobby Alford Pavilion\, East Bay Park\, with proceeds benefiting the Georgetown County Museum. \nThe event features Lowcountry cuisine prepared by local volunteer hunters and fishermen\, a retriever demonstration\, “Turkey Talk” with turkey calls\, and Lee Brockington will lead a lecture and discussion about the rice culture. In addition\, there will be live music and a silent auction. \nTickets are on sale at the museum (120 Broad Street) $30 for museum members and $35 for non-members and at the door.
