In addition to oysters\, guests can enjoy music from Charleston’s top DJs\, with food truck fare from various cuisines\, specialty Firefly cocktails\, Bloody Marys\, and beer available for purchase. Available online now\, tickets are $35 per person and are required for entry. \nThe oyster roasts will run one Sunday per month from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. with oysters being served from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Special event features include a Bloody Mary bar with pickled garnishes\, signature Firefly cocktails and mocktails\, and beers and soft drinks for purchase. Guests are encouraged to bring their own oyster shucking gear and towels\, lawn games\, and chairs to relax and enjoy the festivities with friends and neighbors. Attendees can even catch Sunday football\, broadcasted throughout the distillery. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome to join in on the fun but must remain outdoors and on a leash at all times. \nWhile bottle sales are limited to Monday through Saturday\, seasonal and signature Firefly cocktails will be available for purchase in the Tasting Room and Back Porch bars during these ticketed Sunday events. Guests are encouraged to bring their own oyster shucking gear and towels\, lawn games\, and chairs to relax and enjoy alongside friends and neighbors. The flavor profile\, made up of cedar and smoky aromas with a hint of leather and vanilla\, reminded co-owner Scott Newitt of going fishing with his grandfather and sitting on the leather seats of the car while his grandpa smoked a cigar. Bottled at 121 proof\, the tasting notes are accompanied by a toasted oak\, dark cherry\, and tobacco mouthfeel\, finished with a hint of honey. From the tasting room\, Firefly will introduce a new premium cocktail called Thor’s Hammer\, mixing the Bend & Steal blended whiskey with Firefly’s White Lightning Moonshine and Atomic Fly cinnamon syrup. Local food trucks Mr. B’s On The Go\, Bits-N-Bytes\, and Bits-N-Bites Bakery will be onsite serving food from 12 – 4 p.m. and visitors can enjoy tunes from Gritty Flyright on the Front Porch from 1 – 4 p.m. Walk up tastings will be available every half hour from 12 – 5:30 pm. \nAs a distillery exclusive product\, Bend & Steal has grown in popularity since its initial release in early 2021. The whiskey gets its unique name from the process of “stealing” bits from the best barrels in the country and “bending” them with Firefly barrels to create a perfectly-balanced whiskey. A tribute to the art of distilling\, aging and perfecting whiskey\, each design element of the new bottle label highlights the process and tools that bring this spirit to life.
