SUMMARY:SCDOT Public Meeting about proposed intersection improvement project in Georgetown County
DESCRIPTION:The South Carolina Department of Transportation will hold an open house public information meeting to share plans for a proposed intersection improvement project on S-46 (Waverly Road) at S-450 (Petigru Drive) in Georgetown County. The proposed project will replace the existing intersection with a roundabout to improve safety and traffic operations. SCDOT will provide preliminary design information and details about potential impacts of the project during the drop-in public information meeting. \nThe drop-in style meeting will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday\, October 1\, 2026 at Waccamaw Intermediate School\, 320 Wildcat Way\, Pawleys Island\, SC 29585. There will not be a formal presentation. SCDOT representatives will be available to discuss project plans with attendees and answer questions.
