All Saints Episcopal Church Welcomes Rev. Rilla Holmes as New Rector

All Saints Episcopal Church in Clinton has officially called the Rev. Rilla Holmes to serve as its next Rector. Mother Rilla, as she is known, expressed her excitement about joining the church, particularly drawn to its strong ministry of hospitality. Since her arrival in South Carolina, All Saints’ commitment to welcoming all has been a key factor in her decision, and she is eager to extend that hospitality to those in the community seeking a church home.

One of Mother Rilla’s first major events will be presiding over the Blessing of the Animals ceremony on October 6 at 3:00 PM. This special service invites pet owners to bring their animals to receive a blessing. All pets should be leashed or under control, as there will be other animals present. For those who cannot bring their pets in person, Mother Rilla will also bless pets represented by photos or stuffed toys.

In addition to her involvement in church activities, Mother Rilla looks forward to building relationships within the congregation and the broader Clinton community.
