Garvin Design Group celebrates 21 years

Columbia-based architecture, interiors, and planning firm Garvin Design Group marked its 21st anniversary on June 26, 2024. Garvin Design Group has become a leader in design for higher education, historic preservation, K12 education, hospitality, athletics, and commercial projects. The firm has grown to include 24 team members, amassed over $1 billion worth of project experience, and earned over 70 awards. Members of the firm are active in myriad community service organizations.

Over the past year, Garvin Design Group has continued to expand its portfolio with several notable projects that highlight its commitment to excellence and its ability to meet the evolving needs of its clients. Some of the firm’s ongoing and recently completed projects include:

  • Jerome Simiyon won AIA South Carolina’s 2023 Student Design Award
  • David Sickinger became the president of USC Friends of the School of Music
  • Megan Newbold joined the board of the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition
  • Meg Syms joined the board of CREW Midlands
  • Kim Moon joined the board of the Columbia Design League
  • Andrew Rogerson became Palladium Society President
  • Brittany Lapple became a licensed architect
