June 26, 2024

The 36th annual 4th of July Celebration on Lake Murray will take place on Saturday, June 29

3,000 fireworks will light up the skies above Lake Murray in a patriotic display of celebration this Saturday! Capital City/Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board (CCLMC) is proud to host the 36th annual 4th of July Celebration on Lake Murray on Saturday, June 29th, presented by Lexington Medical Center.

“We wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July from the Jewel of South Carolina! Since the beginning, we have carried the tradition of hosting the fireworks show on the Saturday before the 4th of July. We know families like to plan their parties, vacations, and reunions during this time and it also helps keep the event consistent each year as we join together to celebrate our nation’s independence,” stated Miriam Atria, President/CEO of CCLMC.

This year’s fireworks show will take place at dark at approximately 9:30 p.m. from [two lake locations] Spence Island and Dreher Island. The show will be synchronized to a patriotic concert of music airing simultaneously on 93.1 The Lake radio station. Please note that streaming online might incur delays. It is best to listen the old-fashioned way on the radio. The best viewing location is from a boat, at Dreher Island State Park, or on WIS News 10!

Join us at Dreher Island State Park, near the Tackle Shop for a patriotic celebration!

Dreher Island State Park | 3677 State Park Rd, Prosperity, SC 29127

  • 7 p.m.  93.1 The Lake will have giveaways, live radio broadcasts, and will play the synchronized firework music for all to hear
  • We recommend bringing lawn chairs/blankets, a cooler, and snacks
