Saluda Law, LLC welcomes Bryan Letteer

June 21, 2024

Saluda Law, LLC announced that Attorney Bryan Letteer has joined the firm. Letteer’s practice will focus on criminal defense and professional license defense. His experience as an Attorney at the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, an Assistant Public Defender with significant trial experience, and a former Circuit Court law clerk will serve Saluda Law’s clients well.

Letteer attended James Madison University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration. He then attended the University of South Carolina and obtained his Juris Doctor. Letteer clerked for South Carolina Circuit Court Judge Paul Burch and then worked as an Assistant Public Defender in the Chesterfield County Public Defender’s Office. Subsequently, he worked for the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR). He then entered private practice where he became well respected as a criminal defense and civil practitioner. Letteer comes to Saluda Law to expand the firm’s criminal practice and to take the lead in the firm’s expansion into professional license defense work.

Letteer has extensive trial experience and tried multiple cases as an Assistant Public Defender, including murder cases. Most recently, he tried a four-day drug trafficking case in Greenwood County General Sessions Court. Letteer’s trial experience will serve the firm’s criminal defense clients well as he guides them through the defense of their cases.

As a former LLR attorney, Letteer has the valuable perspective of knowing the agency from the inside when handling professional license defense cases. For doctors, nurses, realtors, contractors, and other professional license holders, Letteer’s background will be invaluable as he works to protect their licenses after complaints have been filed. Saluda Law is looking forward to Letter’s leadership in the expansion of this practice area.

Letteer will be primarily based out of the Saluda Law’s Lexington office located at 137 E. Butler Street, Office 1, Lexington, SC. The centralized location will allow Letteer to serve both the Columbia metropolitan area and Saluda Law’s satellite offices in the tri-county area on an as-needed basis.
