SCbio welcomes Community Development and Marketing Coordinator for new Greenville life science hub

SCbio welcomes Kimberly Penick as Community Development and Marketing Coordinator for Main Street Labs, the newest 100,000-square-foot development in downtown Greenville that will become a laboratory hub for life sciences.

Penick will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive community engagement strategy for Main Street Labs, establishing strong relationships with Greenville area startups, community organizations, academic institutions and others to expand the laboratory’s reach and impact. She will manage daily activities and events at the new life sciences hub, providing office, meeting and classroom rental spaces exclusively for SCbio member organizations.

“Main Street Labs and the City of Greenville represent our industry’s continued growth and future economic impact,” said SCbio President and CEO James Chappell. “Kimberly has the skills, knowledge and work ethic needed to build this life sciences hub into a valuable resource for our members and new businesses relocating to South Carolina.”

A Texas native, Penick joins SCbio with knowledge of strategic planning, market research, and brand development. She is passionate about fostering growth within the life sciences industry and is equipped to contribute to SCbio and its members significantly.

Penick received her Master of Science in Marketing from Clemson University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University.
