The Beach Company announces four new hires

Today, The Beach Company, a leader in residential and commercial real estate brokerage, development and property management, announced four new hires joining the company.

Alouette Alexander has been hired as senior marketing manager for Kiawah River’s marketing team. In this role, Alexander will manage marketing operations, develop and implement strategies to strengthen the company’s marketing presence and manage, nurture and grow the brand’s extraordinary potential. Originally from California, Alexander earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rutgers University and her master’s degree in communications from Suffolk University. Alexander brings extensive relevant expertise to this role with 20 years of marketing experience at various global commercial real estate firms.

Emily Murray has been hired as marketing coordinator at Kiawah River, a waterfront agrihood on Johns Island. In this role, Murray will manage the Kiawah River Finery, the community’s e-commerce store, as well as its social media and special projects. Originally from Columbia, Murray earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from The College of Charleston, and previously served as an intern for The Beach Company’s and Kiawah River’s marketing teams.

AJ Makowski has been hired as maintenance technician at The Jasper, a luxury mixed-use community located in historic downtown Charleston. In this role, Makowski will perform maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical and carpentry work. Additionally, he will conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address maintenance needs along with responding to tenant requests. Originally from Binghamton, N.Y., Makowski earned his bachelor’s degree in digital media production from Arizona State University. Prior to this role, Makowski worked at ServePro for nearly six years as a large loss technical supervisor.

Christy Mitchell has been hired as development administrator at Kiawah River, a waterfront agrihood on Johns Island. In this role, Mitchell will support Kiawah River’s development team with tasks such as processing vendor payables and compiling monthly billing documentation. Originally from Charleston, Mitchell brings over 20 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry and a certificate in Professional Administration. Prior to this role, Mitchell worked as project administrator at Choate Construction.
