Christine Thornton named as new Carolina Youth Development Center VP of Finance

Carolina Youth Development Center has hired Christine Thornton as its new Vice President of Finance and Operations, effective July 3.
Thornton possesses more than 10 years experience in the accounting field, including seven years in public accounting and three years in the private industry.
Most recently, Thornton served as CFO for Pain Specialists of Charleston and Clinical Trials of South Carolina. She managed the financial and accounting operations for two companies, eight service lines and was responsible for payroll processing for over 75 employees.
Prior to working in the private industry, Thornton was a staff accountant for various CPA firms in North Carolina and South Carolina.
Thornton received her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Webster University and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of North Georgia.
