- Illinois native brings nearly a decade of public transit experience
CHARLESTON, SC – CARTA operations partner Transdev welcomes Stephen Beck to its administrative staff as Operations Manager.
Beck arrives in Charleston with eight years of experience in public transportation, having previously spent time as a driver and transit supervisor. Most recently he served as General Manager for Durham School Services in Macomb, Ill., where he oversaw both the Macomb School District and Western Illinois University transit locations.
In his new role, Beck will be responsible for direct supervision of fixed route bus operators, ensuring delivery of daily transit services. Beck, an Eagle Scout, is a Western Illinois University graduate with both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Recreation Park Tourism Administration.
