McNair’s Adam Landy elected to SC Bar and ABA House of Delegates

June 2, 2016

McNair Law Firm announced that Adam Landy has been elected to the House of Delegates for both the South Carolina Bar (SC Bar) and the American Bar Association (ABA).

Adam advises clients in tax and estate planning, probate administration and tax controversy matters, including representation before the Internal Revenue Service and South Carolina Department of Revenue in audit/examinations, appeals and tax collection matters. In his two-year term as a delegate to the SC Bar, Adam will work with other delegates from across the state to set policy for the more than 15,000-member organization. Additionally, his election to the ABA House of Delegates will carry a term of two years. Adam is one of only four delegates selected by the SC Bar to represent the state of South Carolina.

“Adam’s service in these important roles reflect his – and McNair’s – commitment to the Bar, its principles and its programs,” said Michael Beal, managing shareholder of the firm’s Columbia office. “I am certain he will be a valuable contributor to both Houses.”

Since joining the Bar, Adam has been active in both professional development and community service projects. Most recently, he was named a 2016 recipient of the Star of the Quarter Award, an honor presented by the ABA’s Young Lawyers Division at its midyear meeting in San Diego, California.
