Comedian Mike Goodwin to appear at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County

The Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County will bring a night of great, family-friendly and clean comedy to the stage of the Wood Auditorium on Friday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. Mike Goodwin will perform his “Bowtie Comedy” show for one night only. Goodwin, known for his fresh, clean humor is sure to delight audiences of all ages, so make plans to bring your family and friends. Tickets to the event are $15.

In an industry where vulgarity is commonplace, a refreshingly funny entertainer has emerged with the class, style, sincerity, and professionalism of a Southern gentleman. Considered “one of the brightest young minds in comedy,” Mike Goodwin has the heart to bring strength and healing through joy. That’s why he’s dedicated his comedic gift and wit to a style and delivery that is as clean as his bowtie.

Dispensing laughter medicine since his stand-up debut at a 2005 New Year’s Eve service opening for Comedian Akintunde, “The Bowtie” has shared stages with Tim Hawkins, Nephew Tommy, Dennis Swanberg, Marcus D. Wiley, Robert G. Lee, Dick Gregory, Thor Ramsey, and Ron G. Mike has recorded for BET, The Word Network, and Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN).

The Camden native has been a featured artist on the Radio One, One Love Gospel Cruise and Canada’s Clean Comedy Circuit, and also served as a writer and actor in the “It’s Time 2 Laugh” Internet comedy sketch series broadcasted to millions on StreamingFaith.com. Between church, corporate and community performances across the country, Mike acts and writes. He most recently served as a writer for the nationally syndicated television special “A Very Funny Christmas” starring Comedians David Mann, Bone Hampton, and Akintunde.
