Greenville Country Club employees honored with 2018 Upstate Hospitality Awards

Two of Greenville Country Club’s (GCC) employees have been honored with 2018 Upstate Hospitality Awards, hosted by the South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association (SCRLA). Shirley McCullough was awarded “Restaurant Manager of the Year” and Charles “CB” McKinney was awarded “Heart of the House Employee of the Year.”
“We are extremely proud of Shirley and CB for being recognized with Upstate Hospitality Awards,” Greg Hobbs, General Manager for Greenville Country Club, said. “We are honored to have them on our team and couldn’t think of anyone else more deserving.”
Shirley McCullough, GCC’s Food and Beverage Manager, has worked tirelessly for the past 36 years to ensure that all GCC members receive impeccable service, that every event at the club is special, and that every day is meaningful. McCullough leads and mentors’ younger employees, holding them to a high standard – not only preparing them for their job, but for life outside of work.
Charles “CB” McKinney, GCC’s dishwasher and steward for 13 years, is considered one of the most reliable members of the team. McKinney takes a great deal of pride in his work, provides encouragement to others, and mentors new and younger employees. He is routinely a peacemaker, reminding others of their responsibilities and lives out the example of what a model employee is.
