Support GHS Children’s Hospital with pancakes on March 7

March 6, 2017

IHOP’s 12th annual National Pancake Day campaign is coming up March 7 to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, including the Children’s Hospital of Greenville Health System.

The restaurant chain’s goal is to raise $3.5 million. Gifts received by GHS Children’s Hospital will help patients heal physically and emotionally. The funds will support programs and research as well as the purchase of toys, equipment and other items needed to provide the best health care to children and their families.

“GHS Children’s Hospital appreciates the support that it has received through this campaign over the years, and we would like to thank those who eagerly mark this day on their calendar to help our hospital,” said William Schmidt, MD, medical director of GHS Children’s Hospital.

IHOP customers are encouraged to visit restaurants between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. to receive a free short stack of its popular buttermilk pancakes. Guests are asked to leave a donation of any size and all funds are given to the local hospital affiliate.

IHOP restaurants across the United States expect to serve a record-breaking 5 million pancakes on March 7.
Since launching in 2006, IHOP National Pancake Day has become a pop-culture phenomenon with millions of guests and communities helping IHOP and its franchisees raise $24 million to-date for youth health and wellness organizations. All of the money raised on IHOP National Pancake Day stays local and directly helps children in need.

Now through March 7, guests visiting any IHOP restaurant in the United States can help reach the ambitious $3.5 million goal by purchasing a “Wall Icon” to publicly pledge support. Select IHOP restaurants will be offering a discount coupon that can be used on a future visit with the purchase of a “Wall Icon.”
