Intellisoft adds Compton as VP of Marketing and Business Development

March 2, 2016

GREENVILLE, SC – Intellisoft hired Russell Compton as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.

Compton comes to Intellisoft after managing the marketing strategy for a software startup, OrgSpan, Inc., that was acquired by Interactive Intelligence. Compton also spent eight years at Lenovo, where he worked as the ThinkPad Worldwide Launch Marketing Manager, leading the go-to-market strategy for the company’s commercial notebook when they captured the top rank in market share.

“I was excited to join Intellisoft who is a fast growing, industry challenger.” said Compton. “They want to achieve even more growth and I’m here to help them attract new customers and market segments.”

“Russ has had an immediate impact by reformulating our marketing strategy”, said David Peeples, Intellisoft’s Founder and President. “Our business development has shifted to bringing communities together, problem solving, and building deeper, longer-lasting relationships.”
In the past, Intellisoft has been primarily known for their state and federal government contracts dedicated to enhancing the security with organizations like the Department of Defense, the Pentagon, the Federal Aviation Administration, etc. Now they are seeing the opportunity to expand their growth with Aviation Security and reach the private sector through strategic partnerships.

For example, in March, the company will be releasing a new study titled “Better aviation security through collaboration”. This study’s success will be mostly attributed to the participation among Airport Security Coordinators, who are tasked with providing safety and security at airports across the United States. Those who work in aviation security are encouraged to participate in the survey that will be open through the end of February.
