January 18, 2016

A3 Communications, America’s sixth ‘Fastest Growing Systems Integrator,’ recently announced that Richie Gibbons, RCDD, and Danny Barrett, have joined their firm to expand the reach and capabilities of their Greenville location.

Gibbons, a Registered Communications Distribution Designer, comes with more than 15 years of experience, including a background in the private, public and military sectors. Having accepted the position of Greenville Branch Manager, Gibbons assists clients through a wealth of applicable knowledge and a multitude of certifications and licenses. In his new role, he will share his experience in physical security, structured cabling, wireless networks, audio/visual and classroom technology.

With past positions in operations, project management and sales for a variety of technological providers, Gibbons will oversee all projects, staff and revenue for the strategically located Upstate office. Gibbons currently holds licenses in South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia, as well as numerous manufacturer certifications and a Master’s degree in operations from American Intercontinental University.

In addition to Gibbons, Barrett has accepted the position of senior project manager after more than 35 years of experience in the installation and maintenance of evolving technology. Leveraging his management background, he will oversee all physical security projects for the firm’s newly awarded, multi-year security contract with Clemson University. His role will include scheduling and managing both IP surveillance and access control implementations at the sprawling college campus.

18 years ago, Barrett began his career at South Carolina Education Television (SC ETV) as a special project manager. During his time with the organization, he oversaw the installation and maintenance of thousands of government agency TV systems on a state-wide level. After leaving SC ETV, Barrett dedicated more than 12 years to the School District of Pickens County where he was ultimately promoted to the Director of Technology.

“We are excited to welcome Richie and Danny to our team. Both of their strong emphasis on customer service and leadership fit perfectly with A3 Communication’s environment and business philosophies. Their combined wealth of experience and knowledge will serve our customers well,” said Brian Thomas, President of A3 Communications.
