Interstate 85 Lane Closures Northbound and Southbound
Motorists should expect left and right lane closures on Northbound I 85 from mile markers 77 to 80. There will be left lane closures on Southbound I 85 from mile markers 80 to 84. Additionally, there will be left lane closures on Northbound I 85 from mile markers 84 to 87. These lane closures will continue nightly until Friday, June 29 at 6 am. There will be no lane closures for this project due to anticipated heavy travel for the upcoming Independence Day Holiday from June 29 until July 8.
Dewberry Road Closure UPDATED DETOUR MAP
Motorists are also advised that a portion of Dewberry Road will remained closed in Spartanburg County, between Exit 80 (S 57 – Gossett Rd) and Exit 83 (SC 110 – Battleground Rd). Reopening date for Dewberry Road is uncertain at this time due to delays with the completion of utility relocation work, unforeseen site conditions encountered in the area and bridge construction. As soon as a more definite date is established, SCDOT will advise. An updated detour map has been provided and is available on the website.
Interstate 85 Southbound On Ramp Closure at Exit 77/I-85 Business
Upstate motorists should anticipate the continued closure of the on ramp to Interstate 85 southbound at Exit 77/I-85 Business. This ramp will be closed due to construction from June 11, 2018, until July 11, 2018. I-85 Business northbound traffic desiring to travel southbound on I-85 will detour from this interchange onto I-85 northbound to the Exit 78 off ramp, turn left onto US 221, and turn left to the on ramp to southbound I-85.
