Garvin Design Group welcomes new interior designer

August 9, 2017

Garvin Design Group announced the recent hire of Interior Designer, Liza Brockman. After graduating from Clemson University with her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture in 2004, she went on to complete her Masters of Interior Architecture at the University of Oregon in 2007. Liza returned to Columbia in June after thirteen years in Eugene, Oregon, and will join Kim Bendillo in GDG’s Interior Design division.

While on the West Coast she balanced working as an interior designer for a firm with part-time teaching in the Interior Architecture department at University of Oregon. Liza approaches each project by blending both her architecture and interior architecture background as she works with clients to create solutions that are functional, enhance the quality of life and culture of the occupants, and maintain their appeal for years to come. Liza’s experience includes higher education, workplace environments, k-12 education and retail. She also dedicates time to furthering the interior design profession through education by volunteering with the Council for Interior Design Accreditation.

“We are so excited to have Liza join our firm. Her unique background in architecture and interior design will be an incredible asset for our team and clients,” said Scott Garvin, President of Garvin Design Group.
