Young Lawyers hosting backpack and supply drive

The SC Bar Young Lawyers Division, in conjunction with The Cooperative Ministry, is collecting backpacks and other school supplies for donation to schools and students throughout the state during its annual Back-to-School Backpack and School Supply Drive. Supplies will be collected through Wednesday, Aug. 10, and can be dropped at locations in Chesterfield, Columbia and Florence.
Examples of items needed include new backpacks, spiral bound notebooks, loose leaf paper, composition notebooks, binders, pocket folders, scissors, rulers, compasses, protractors, dividers, mechanical pencils, #2 pencils, highlighters, dry erase markers, crayons, 3×5 index cards, Post-It notes, book covers, dictionaries and large boxes of Kleenex. Take advantage of the upcoming tax-free weekend, Aug. 4-6, to purchase items.
