February 10, 2016

Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP announces that Kurt Rozelsky, a partner in the Greenville office of Smith Moore Leatherwood, has been appointed vice chair of the 2016 United Way of Greenville County Annual Campaign.

United Way of Greenville County brings people and resources together to build a “Cycle of Success” where all children start school prepared to learn and go on to graduate, well-educated graduates find good jobs and create stable homes, and children from stable homes continue the cycle because they start school on track and prepared for success. In the past year, more than 107,000 people advanced along the Cycle in one or more of the four key areas: Life Essentials, School Readiness, High School Graduation or Financial Stability.

Last year the Campaign raised $16.7 million, the most money ever raised by a United Way campaign in South Carolina, to promote the Cycle of Success in Greenville County. Rozelsky has been an active volunteer with the United Way since 1995, having served as a Loaned Executive, Chair of the Young Philanthropists, Palmetto Society Board Member and Campaign Cabinet Area Leader. Following his year as vice chair, Rozelsky will serve as the 2017 Campaign Chair.
