Springfield joins Southern First

GREENVILLE, SC – Southern First Bancshares, Inc., holding company for Southern First Bank, announced that Trish Springfield has joined the bank as Executive Vice President, Retail Banking.

Springfield has 22 years of retail banking experience. Prior to joining Southern First, she served 5 years as Executive Vice President of Retail at Palmetto Bancshares (now United Community Bank) as well as 5 years with South Financial Group (now TD Bank).  She also spent 12 years with National Bank of Commerce (now SunTrust) and NCBS, a national retail bank consulting and sales group working with banks, credit unions and large retailers. Springfield is also a tenured faculty member of both the Barret School of Banking in Memphis, TN, as well as the South Carolina Bankers Association Banking School in Greenwood, SC.

Springfield graduated from Christian Brothers University with a BS in Marketing, Finance and Economics and is a graduate of the Mid-South School of Banking (now Barret School of Banking). In addition, she was named NAIA Academic All American in Basketball.
