Local Ad Club Rolling Out Public Service Initiative

GREENVILLE, SC – Nonprofit organizations face many challenges, including finding funds for crucial marketing and advertising efforts that could further reach and impact.

That’s why the Upstate chapter of the American Advertising Federation selects a local nonprofit beneficiary for its public service initiative every year. The Greenville-based club is now accepting applications for selection of the 2015–16 beneficiary.

Designed for nonprofits that have some marketing budget but limited resources to make those dollars impactful, the AAF Greenville public service program boasts an engaged membership of marketing and advertising professionals who are willing to donate their time and services to benefit a worthy cause in the Upstate.

Campaigns can focus on a variety of challenges faced by nonprofit organizations, from awareness to fundraising, volunteer recruitment to event promotion and more. AAF Greenville secures donations from its members and their companies for the necessary tools to execute the nonprofit campaign.

“We aim for a minimum 2:1 return on investment,” said AAF Greenville President Suzannah Howell. “We’re proud to be able to offer services from strategy and development to creative and media placement of public service messages.”

To qualify for consideration, an organization must:

  • Be a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
  • Have a marketing budget that can be allocated to this program
  • Demonstrate need for marketing assistance to reach a measurable goal
  • Be willing to work collaboratively with AAF Greenville volunteers

Interested organizations can download an application by visiting www.aafgreenville.org/public-service. Applications should be submitted with proof of 501(c)(3) status by email to the club’s Public Service Chair, Courtney Mitchell, at [email protected]. Applications are due by November 30.

AAF Greenville will review all applications, interview the highest scoring candidates and notify the selected beneficiary no later thanJanuary 31, 2016. Specific details of the campaign will be determined after an evaluation of the beneficiary’s marketing needs.
