Scott and Company promotes Upstate CPA Chris Halkowitz to firm member

COLUMBIA & GREENVILLE, SC – Scott and Company LLC, one of South Carolina’s leading accounting, tax and consulting firms, has promoted Chris Halkowitz, CPA, CFE, a senior manager in the firm’s Greenville based office, to a member of the firm.
Mr. Halkowitz, who is very instrumental in serving the audit needs of the firm’s clients, will provide a wide-range of accounting and auditing services to companies primarily concentrated in the real estate, manufacturing, government, food processing, retail, restaurant, non-profit and distribution/wholesale industries.
Mr. Halkowitz joined Scott and Company’s Assurance and Advisory Services in 2008 and has extensive experience in serving organizations from small clients to large clients.

A licensed certified public accountant in South Carolina and a certified fraud examiner, Mr. Halkowitz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Masters in Business Administration degree in accounting from Coastal Carolina University. He is an Alumni of Beta Alpha Psi. He began his career in the firm’s Columbia office before moving to Greenville full-time in 2010. He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
