Attorney Ron Tate receives associate of the year award from Home Builders Association of South Carolina

GREENVILLE, SCGallivan, White & Boyd, P.A. announced that shareholder Ronald G. Tate has been chosen to receive the Home Builders Association of South Carolina (HBASC) Thomas N. Bagnal Associate of the Year award, one of the most prestigious HBASC awards. The award is given to individuals who demonstrate the same qualities as the award’s namesake, Thomas N. Bagnal. These qualities include: tireless service to their community, Home Builders Association, and to the home building industry.

Michael Dey, Executive Director of the HBA of Greenville, states, “I believe that Ron begins each day with the goal to work toward the benefit of our community, industry and association and he purposely strives toward that goal every day. Ron has quietly, but consistently served our association, and has become a valuable member of our association’s leadership team.”

Tate’s dedication to the construction industry through his legal practice has earned him additional honors such as receiving the 2014 Presidential Citation from the Home Builders Association of Greenville, being listed in Best Lawyers in America for Commercial Litigation, and receiving Greenville Business Magazine’s Legal Elite in Construction award.

Tate has been involved in the construction industry his entire life beginning with a family owned construction related business. This experience has allowed Tate to handle a wide variety of cases involving many different legal issues in the construction industry throughout his over 29 years of practicing law. Tate also handles complex business and commercial matters for his clients. He has counseled clients on contract and transactional issues as well as drafted and negotiated contracts on projects as diverse as large co-generation power plants to homebuilding agreements.
