July 28, 2014

GREENVILLE, SC – RevUp Indoor Cycling, the Upstate’s only boutique pinning studio, has added Kristi Arledge as its new fitness director.

Arledge brings 25 years of group fitness instructing experience to her position including nearly 20 years with YMCA of Greenville. Arledge is certified in ACE Group Exercise,NASM Personal Trainer, ACSM EIM, TRX Group Suspension, and Keiser Cycle. She is also an accomplished competitive distance runner and has completed over 30 marathons and half-marathons.

Most recently, she designed and implemented the core fitness and TRX suspension training system at YMCA of Greenville, and will implement a similar functional fitness program at RevUp in its 600 square feet of training space.

Although she has experience instructing nearly every type of group fitness class, she finds spinning), and the strong core that the practice builds, to be central to success in any type of fitness activity. Arledge also will be offering personal training at RevUp, which will also focus on functional conditioning.
“Kristi brings a lot of experience with her and a true passion for spinning and group fitness. She really cares about helping people meet their fitness goals and she will be a great asset to the team,” said Jeff Beane, owner of RevUp.

RevUp Indoor Cycling will open in August at a renovated site at 2441 Laurens Road in the same shopping center as Sky Zone Greenville. The 3,800 square foot facility features 30 state-of-the-art bikes, three dressing rooms, showers and a large waiting area for people to cool off post workout.

The spinning studio will feature 60-inch television screens and the bikes are aligned in a stadium seating style, which means everyone can see the instructor, Beane said. Each bike includes built-in software that allows users to save data from previous workouts, track workout goals and see how they are competing against other people in the program if they chose.
