IPS TRICO Signs Authorized Service Agreement with ELIN Motoren

Leading wind service provider will offer maintenance, repair and OEM parts on ELIN wind generators in North and South America

GREENVILLE, SC – August 12, 2011 – IPS, the nation’s leading independent provider of electric motor and generator repair, has announced an authorized service agreement between its IPS TRICO regional service center and ELIN Motoren.  IPS TRICO, one of sixteen IPS regional service centers in the U.S, leads and manages all IPS wind power services, including repair standards, repair services, field services and product sales for wind power customers across North America.  ELIN Motoren, a Trasys Company headquartered in Preding/Weiz, Austria, manufactures wind turbine generators between 600-5300kW, with an installed base of several thousand units  in the U.S.

IPS TRICO will provide authorized service, warranty and non-warranty repair, OEM parts and exchange wind generators for ELIN.  These services will be offered in both North and South America, including generator installation and removal, stator and rotor rewinds, inspection and cleaning, bearing changes up-tower and in-shop, electrical tests, vibration and noise measurement, and balancing.

ELIN adds its name to the growing list of leading OEMs that look to IPS for both warranty and non-warranty repair.  In return, IPS and IPS TRICO offer ELIN a proven single-source approach to OEM-spec service and repair for its wind generators, including sixteen regional service centers in the U.S.
