Graham Announces Over $5.9 Million for South Carolina Airports

WASHINGTON – Septmenber, 26, 2010 – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today announced more than $5.9 million in grants to airports in Florence and Sumter counties.
Florence
The Pee Dee Regional Airport Authority will receive a $4,594,861 to complete the final stages of aircraft parking near the terminal area and to reconstruct the passenger concourse within the terminal building at Florence International Airport .
Sumter
Sumter County will receive a $1,326,797 grant for a runway safety area improvement project that meets wetland and stream bank mitigation requirements at Sumter Airport .
The grants were awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
