Museum Newsroom: Meet Santa and ride the SCSM N. Pole Express, Sat., Dec. 15

Tasting Tuesday is Back, Dec. 11
The State Museum is open late until 8 p.m. Tuesday night for holiday shopping, South Carolina food product tastings, and samples of local beer in the Cotton Mill Exchange during Tasting Tuesdays.

Guests can also get in the holiday spirit with The Polar Express 4D Experience playing at 5:30 and 6:30 in the Rev. Solomon Jackson Jr. 4D Theater, Star of Bethlehem and Trans Siberian Orchestra Christmas Laser, now playing in the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Planetarium at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. respectively. Visit scmuseum.org for a list of Second Shift Twosday activities.
Santa Days at the State Museum Saturday, Dec. 15
Guests are invited to meet Santa and take a train ride on the SCSM North Pole Express. Santa meet and greets are included with museum admission or membership and train rides are $3 per ride ($2 for museum members). Guests that purchase a special holiday photo with Santa will get a free train ride. Special holiday planetarium and 4D shows like The Polar Express 4D Experience will be showing throughout the day.
